The body is the vehicle through which you experience every facet of your life. Whether it be work, rest, pleasure, you inhabit the same body throughout. As such, improving and maintaining the health and function of your body positively impacts everything you do and everything you are.
Science has illuminated the myriad ways in which your way of life today affects the trajectory of your health in the future. We know so much about how the way you choose to live today, as a 30 or 40 or 50-year-old, determines to a great extent the quality of physical health you will enjoy at 60 or 70 or 80 years old. We cannot see for certain what lies ahead, and we certainly cannot wave a magic wand to eradicate all future woes, but we can nudge our genes, cells, organs and minds towards slightly more favourable, or slightly less desirable outcomes with every choice we make.
