Signing up with Thrive health management was the best investment I've ever made. When I arrived I was greeted by a very professional team who carried out a very comprehensive assessment of my eating habits, what I could do physically, what I couldn't do physically, how I moved, what were my goals etc.

This sort of stuff may sound standard for a good gym, but it was immediately obvious to me, that this wasn't a normal gym. There are no cellphones, no music, no mirrors and you definitely won't see anyone posting selfies on Instagram.

What you will see is people giving their heart and soul to be better. You will eventually meet professional athletes (Basketball, Ice Hockey and Rugby pro athletes train there on a regular basis). At first, training with pro athletes can sound a bit intimidating (me, an overweight wannabe rock climber that couldn't even walk properly, training with pro athletes?). But everyone is there for the same reason, to get better.

Athletes, overweight wannabe rock climbers, elderly and 16-year-olds train together, share the same space, same coaches and same weights. All the coaches are super knowledgeable on their field and they will give you all the information you need and help you as much as they can with everything health-related, from diet to sleep schedule, supplements, exercise etc.

Pete in particular is great. You will see a very strict, result-driven person that will sniff out excuses from miles away. You will also see a kind, funny and friendly coach that will help you work hard, even if you don't think you can do it. You won't find this kind of service anywhere else. My advice for anyone who is thinking of signing up is to hurry up and do it now.

Bonus: They have bathrooms with showers so you can go to work after you train. The scheduling is done through an app so they can coordinate the number of people at a given time in the gym, so the gym floor is never crowded.
