Rod first came to us at the behest of his partner Fran. He had suffered a fall, resulting in muscle loss after a hospital stay and had blood sugar on the verge of diabetes. Strength training can provide exceptional therapy from all these woes and Rod is a testament to that.

After training three times per week for over four years now, Rod has experienced some huge benefits from improved strength and mobility. Within 6 months his blood sugar was completely normal, losing the diagnosis of “pre-diabetic”. He moves completely differently now, being able to squat will full range and manages loads greater now at 74, than he could at 69 when we met. We’re immensely proud of Rod. He’s a shining example of how fitness is one of the best medicines available.
